  3.    Welcome to the first release of DMC OnLine Today!
  4.  
  5.    This comprehensive online magazine has all others beat hands-down! Simply
  6.  unARC it into your RBBS-PC directory (or wherever your Bulletins are norm-
  7.  ally stored), and bring up RBBS Config and change the number of Bulletins
  8.  to 26. Additionally, you will need to change the name of the bulletins menu
  9.  to DMCMAG, and the prefix for the bulletins themselves to DMCMG.
  10.    DMC OnLine Today is a compiled journal of the items that effect our
  11.  field of interest and their relationship to us. Your copy of DMCMAG! has
  12.  non-graphic, ASCII graphic, and ANSI Graphics versions of all articles and
  13.  menus included! A nation-wide classified advertising section is included,
  14.  and we feel certain you'll agree that DMC OnLine Today will spark a new
  15.  meaning to the word "BULLETINS".
  16.    To make a long story short, we got tired of TBBS and QuickBBS boards
  17.  making InfoMat available, and watching InfoMat refuse to make it available
  18.  for RBBS SYSOPs. So we sat down and took a long hard look at things. The
  19.  end result is the set of files you see before you. You should have no
  20.  trouble at all (almost at first glance) figuring out that this beats the
  21.  pants off any other OnLine Magazine out there.
  22.    We made DMC OnLine Today fit easily into the bulletins section. Hope-
  23.  fully, Jon will get the hint and make a M)agazines section STANDARD ISSUE in
  24.  his next release of RBBS! We had considered writing doorware to support
  25.  the magazine as a stand-alone, but felt that this would significantly
  26.  limit our target audience. Let's hear some feedback on it!
  27.    DMC OnLine Today is an effort at a well-rounded magazine made available
  28.  to the general public through the most widely-used BBS software around --
  29.  RBBS! Its goal will be to increase traffic on RBBS systems. We have more
  30.  than a few ways to do this, and a 10Mhz. 8088 giveaway may not be too far
  31.  away for DMC OnLine Today! If the RBBS community picks it up and likes it
  32.  as we hope they will, we should be able to sponsor a nation-wide online
  33.  contest to begin in July.
  34.    A few other little tips on installation under your RBBS system : promote
  35.  the daylights out of it. Use it as a tool to draw users to your BBS. We'll
  36.  be here to help, too! Send us your BBS ad and we'll include it in our
  37.  classifieds section!
  38.    The bad news is -- we can't afford to put this kind of time into develop-
  39.  ing a finished product like this for nothing. We are glad to let you read
  40.  a copy of it, but PLEASE, do NOT put it on your BBS available to your users
  41.  if you are not a subscriber! Our price of $36 per year is quite low in view
  42.  of the fact that it A)helps you increase BBS traffic, B)costs less than
  43.  PC Magazine, and C)we all benefit from a growing BBS publication!
  44.    Take this copy and enjoy! Put it up for download to other RBBS SYSOPS.
  45.  Decide if it's worth subscribing to in order to get a little more traffic
